We’ve learned giraffes have a long 13 to 15 months gestation period. How long does it take a calf to reach adulthood? Is that an extended period too for giraffes? ---

I’d swear these animals knows that camera is there. The calf hides in the one corner that the camera can’t see. He’s done that since day 2. I’ve only seen him a few times since the 2nd day after his birth. He comes out of the corner to nurse. Otherwise he’s out of sight. Guess it’s time to delete this bookmark and forget about the live cam. ---

It looked like any little kid with a sudden burst of energy to burn off. And I have seen him near Oliver and otherwise in plain view. ---

I saw him nursing earlier this evening. He’s so cute. It’s just bad luck he’s often in that corner the camera can’t see. Won’t matter after after Friday. The feed will be ended. ---
