I have had sex while listening to Captain Scarlet (and I mean actually paying attention to it). Still enjoyed the sex too. I once went almost 3 years while married. And in the words of Dr. Horrible, I do the weird stuff. As participant by proxy, yesterday I helped a friend who hadn’t had sex since May end her dry spell. (Well, my boyfriend helped too.) It’s just so nice when you can give back a little 🙂 ---

The first month of our marriage we were going at it like bunnies (personal record, day 15 of marriage, 7 times in 24 hours), but as we get older and more comfortable with each other or something (don’t know why exactly), the joke about “celibate married men” starts setting in. Don’t know how long it’s been, I’d hazard a guess of “about a month”. Still love her dearly, but with two young kids (perfect birth control, let me tell you, they seem to have an innate sense that they _know_ when we’re starting to make love as they _always_ choose that time to call for us; we also knew right away when the conception date of the second kid was because it was the date that the first kid was at the babysitter’s) and her feeling “under the weather” (colds have a hard time leaving my wife - lately they’ve been in her more than I have!) have conspired against me lately. Dunno if anyone qualifies from all that info (and of course keep in mind that my wife stands a better shot at qualifying, as she was older than me when she lost her virginity, but she’s not a Doper), but such as it is I thought it would be an interesting story. ---

Frankly, I don’t see the point in answering, if I’m not going to win. If I don’t win, what’s to take away the shame? 😉 I can’t decide whether this thread makes me feel better about how long it’s been or worse knowing that it could still be a whole lot longer! I guess I feel less weird but more . . . motivated. I don’t want to win the next time this contest is held! If my date tomorrow night doesn’t work out, maybe we should arrange some meetups between the contestants. I know I’d drive a few hundered miles to reset the clock! ---
