I’d like to send my kids some good cookies (or other baked goodies) for Christmas. I’ve had stuff from Fiji’s and I wasn’t that impressed. It’s December 18 already!?! ---

I like the fruit galettes from [Harry & David’s](http://www.harryanddavid.com/gifts/store/category-display ____dessert-bakery-gifts_gourmet-cookie-gifts__ ) Though I bought the ones I’m giving away from a local outlet mall, and I still thought the price was sky-high. So look over the catalog, but pay attention to the amount you get for the price. I mean, I’m sure everything that Harry & David’s sells is wonderful and worth every penny, but I still think someone has to be careless about money not to cringe at some of their prices. ---

And you can toss the individual cookie bags from Cheryl in the freezer and pull them out when you need a snack! If they last long enough to make it into the freezer! ---

The good people at one of the law firms I visit got me a tin of [Christie Cookies](https://www.christiecookies.com/StoreFront/IAFDispatcher?iafAction=showMain), and they were oustanding. Very chewy and moist. I particularly loved the oatmeal raisin and white chocolate chip macadamia nut cookies. ---

When I was in Seattle, I had cookies at [Specialty’s Bakery](http://www.specialtysdirect.com/product_cookies.asp) that were the best cookies I’ve ever tasted. The wheatgerm chocolate chip ones are the best! ---

I’ve heard that [St. Julians in Sandown NH](http://www.macaroons.com/) makes some amazing macaroons. It’s in my town, but we’ve never gotten any… not sure why. I have seen them on Food TV a few times, and seen great reviews online. ---

I think “David’s Cookies” are scrumptious (they have a mail-order website but I can’t do the linky right now.)
