I’m member #11,659.

Nothing particularly notable about that, other than the fact that I have been here continuously for just over a decade. I average about a post per day (which makes this my daily post for today ;)).

However, I first read the original _Straight Dope_ book back when it was released in paperback in 1986 or so, and I had an AOL membership in 1994, so I don’t know why it took me so long to find the SDMB online.

Apparently, we joined right at the same time, **Quasimodem** , separated by just one day and 13 member numbers.
