Never have, never will…never even been curious about it. Was married to a smoker who came from a family of smokers, both my kids are smokers…but no one in my birth family smokes (okay, my brother tried a pipe for a few years in the 70’s, but that didn’t last long) and none of the rest of us have ever been tempted, either. I’m convinced it’s genetic. ---

Ew. Never, it’s always been repulsive to me. I had parents who smoked and that really turned me off. ---

I’m one of the many who have never even tried it. I’m by no means a teetotaler, I love beer and booze and have bartended for a decade but I just never wanted to smoke. My parents smoked heavily while I was a kid and I never liked it and urged them to quit finally when I was probably 10 or 11. That was probably the biggest reason why I never did, that combined with the early realization that smoking where I grew up was decidedly white-trash. I have puffed on a cigar or two, mostly high quality Cubans, simply for the theatrics of the process. Around college it was a novelty and an “adult” indulgence, basically a testosterone fest. Never really enjoyed the taste, the buzz wasn’t bad, and I might do it again given the proper occasion. I draw the line at inhaling though. The only real downside to never smoking is that I’m useless when it comes to smoking pot. I just have no idea how to inhale and I can’t get anything from smoking pot. I’ve tried and I usually just end up with a hacking cough and no buzz. One of these days I will figure this out though, I had a good time eating hash brownies in Amsterdam. ---

Never smoked anything. No cigarettes, no cigars, no pipes, no dope. No desire to try any of those things. ---

Nope. I’ve smoked some other things (hookah, weed, cigar) but never tried a cigarette. I don’t smoke _anything_ very often, because, well … I’m scared of lighters. Seriously. Matches too. Basically, anything which requires my fingers to be within an inch of an open flame freaks me out. Makes me a very bad smoker. 😃 ---

Is it that rare? I’ve never smoked tobacco in any form (cigarette, cigars, hookah, whatever). Just didn’t see the point, and besides, it seems like so many more people grow to regret starting smoking than end up thinking “Boy, that was a good decision”. I have smoked pot in various forms, but I imagine I still count for this thread. ---

When I was 10 or 11 a guy passed a cig around. I passed. Both my parents were heavy smokers. My brother and I have never smoked. ---

No tobacco for me. I’ve never understood the attraction. I tried to smoke a joint once (in Amsterdam) but couldn’t manage to inhale. Annoyed the hubby to no end. ---

Grew up in a family where everybody smoked. Going to school was a happy time. People at church sometimes commented on how strong the smell was. Never tried it: never will. ---

I’ve never had the desire to smoke at all. My sis C. is the same. My parents and my oldest sister all smoked. The smell was horrid and having to go anywhere in the car with them was a nightmare for me. But what really turned me off was the ashtrays. I cannot stand the sight or smell of an ashtray. I actually get nauseous and have gagged frequently if I have to get to close. My mother quit smoking ten years ago but it was too late. She just recently started using oxygen. ---

Never ever ever ever ever. I think I’m the only member of my immediate family who never has, though currently all my siblings and parental units are smoke-free. If I was King of the World, I’d ban smoking completely. Though if I was King of the World, I’d be assassinated by week 2 for my controversial rulings, so be thankful I’m not. ---

No, I’ve NEVER smoked a cigarette! Yes, I’ve NEVER smoked a cigarette! Whatever way you say it, I’ve never smoked (or otherwise partaken of) tobacco in any form, nor have I ever wanted to.
