Ask my fiancé soemtime about the joys of antivirals and protease inhibitors.
Geez, some nasty stuff in here. The worst I have is major depression, which I got rid of with some medications, and Asperger’s Syndrome, which I’ll never be rid of.
Hey, Mirror Image egamI rorriM, another Crohn’s disease person checking in. Glad to hear you’ve been in remission so long! Wish I could say the same, but eh. The Remicade does wonders for me, at least for a couple of months.
Apologies for the double post, computer was acting up last night.
Humm - well, I’m pretty ok, but I did find out recently that I have scoliosis and I’m too old to treat. (Well, I could have a debilitating surgery followed by wearing a back brace for a really long time, but it wouldn’t actually solve the problem, particularly.)
Basically I have a lifetime of back pain and headaches ahead of me, but really, things could be much, much worse.
Actually, I’m sort of GLAD that I was diagnosed - I honestly thought that I was just a really sucky hypochondriac. Apparently not!
Another Crohn’s patient here. I was just diagnosed in November and am pretty well under control now. I had lost about 30 pounds before they figured out why - that was the only “good” side effect (since I was overweight to begin with). Now of course I am gaining it back. I also have had depression for about 20 years and some osteoarthritis. The diagnosis was kind of a relief since it explained so many of my symptoms and there are some treatments for it.
