Telperien, I know nothing about you, but you should add me. I want more friends. I just don’t want to go about it in a completely haphazard manner.

When I started my LiveJournal I friended all my real life friends who were on there (mostly from law school). Then I discovered that there were random people out there who shared some of my more curiously phrased interests – like “‘your face’ jokes” or “ironic juxtaposition” – so I friended them too. And all of them friended me back; it was great. But now I think I’ve reached a friend plateau.

All of which is to say, you should add me to your friends’ list. And everyone else in this thread who’s got an LJ account, you should add me too.

Yep, though I never saw the point about posting the boring, mundane, day-to-day aspects of your personal life.

See, I don’t post that stuff. I don’t post every day, but I have plenty of IMHO non-boring/mundane things to talk about in what is essentially an ongoing public conversation with family and friends.

What’s that saying anyway? If you’re bored, you’re boring?

Then again, some people just aren’t interesting. So, don’t read their blog.

Of course, if you don’t like dogs, knitting, spinning, running, and/or dick references, you won’t find my blog interesting.
Or you might not like the way I write.
That’s all right with me, but blogs aren’t people’s diaries in the traditional sense as th medium changes the message. It’s more like a digital scrapbook: pictures and links and comments mean that it’s a string of connected experiences and feelings and documentation of events or opinions.

Although, there’s always someone out there who uses the medium like a digital notebook to keep track of eating habits or what have you, but that’s usually part of a bigger scheme of organisation where they have a goal and are tracking progress.

I don’t know why I didn’t post this earlier, but here is my blog.

I have two blogs. One’s my Regular blog and the other is my OA blog.

I’m not real great at updating my regular blog, although I try to go in at least every other week or so.

I only started my OA blog fairly recently, and I’m finding it very helpful as I try to sort through things in my head.

I do, but I don’t post anything that is truly private. Basically, I won’t post anything that I wouldn’t want my boyfriend, employer, parents, etc. to read. It’s basically a way to keep friends and family up to date on general aspects of my life. But honestly I am really bad about keeping it up, I don’t post too often.
