- - - I am trying to figure out the _name_ of the type of boat that I took a trip on recently. The **Siggi-G** is not the boat I was on, but it is the same type of boat: [http://www.siggig.com/](http://www.siggig.com/) … When I google “offshore fishing boats” I get boats that look different: [http://images.google.com/images?num=30&hl=en&lr=&safe=off&c2coff=1&q=offshore%20fishing%20boats&btnG=Search&sa=N&tab=wi](http://images.google.com/images?num=30&hl=en&lr=&safe=off&c2coff=1&q=offshore%20fishing%20boats&btnG=Search&sa=N&tab=wi) … When I google “coastal fishing boats” or “sport fishing boats” I get boats that look a lot like “offshore” boats. Is there a name for this specific type of boat? So far I can’t find any guide that gives names for the various boat types, and can’t find this type referred to by any particular term. ~ ---

I could be wrong, but I think that a [trawler](http://powerboat.about.com/cs/boattype1/p/trawler_boat.htm) is about a close as you are going to come to the name of the type of boat.
