Yeah… those Family guy producers are really worried about making sense…
like a talking dog… or child with a football for a head…

I just listened to it again… and again… and again… and I will keep my opinion…
There is an “ef” sound…

maybe I will agree that he is saying… lef’n cry… because of his accent… but there is an “ef” in there…

Or simply listen to the audio commentaries, on which Chris McFarlane says in no uncertain terms that the theme _never_ contained the word “effin’.”

of course he would say that…
Honestly… If it were true… he would never admit it.

I have never heard anyone pronounce the work laugh… “lef” but if that is what you all think it is then… ok… obviosuly… the minority is probably wrong here…

ok I will agree he says laugh and with his accent, it sounds like he is saying “lef”

When it was first on the air, I always heard “f-in cry,” and then I noticed it was changed to “laugh and cry.” The DVD’s might not have the first intro., since they were released after the change. Seth McFarland might say he was saying “laugh and cry”, but it most certainly sounds like “f-in,” maybe it was just the way the actor said the line, and was probably the reasn the re-recorded it to make it sound more like “laugh.” But the first season (maybe two) WERE different for that one word.

Why not? His show’s already been cancelled. What does he have to lose?

I just listened to it on the 1st season DVD. Though I agree that the vowell sound resembles an E at least a little, the initial L sound is unmistakable.
