# Who in the name of pluperfect hell named it "stainless" steel?

If they didn’t constantly repaint the Golden Gate Bridge, the salt fog off the ocean would eat it. Seriously. The Bay Bridge gets repainted constantly too, except it’s gray instead.

To clear up confusion (since “-less” is often construed to mean the same as “-free” in English) they should have called it stainoccasionally steel.
