After discussing Sylvester Stallone and his shrugging acceptance of his-- let’s say ‘eccentric’-- mom twenty years ago, we looked up when it was she passed away. The answer is-- never. She is 95 and still kicking and getting plastic surgery.
With the last year of a bunch of dying old icons, who were you surprised to find is still alive?

Former Minnesota Vikings coach Bud Grant is 89.
When he was coaching, Grant was known for not wanting to “give in” to cold weather, and wouldn’t let his teams use heaters on the sidelines. Last January, he participated in a coin flip before a Vikings playoff game, when the Vikes were temporarily playing at the University of Minnesota’s outdoor stadium. True to form, [Grant ran on the field for the coin flip in short sleeves](http://ftw.usatoday.com/2016/01/88-year-old-vikings-legend-bud-grant-wore-short-sleeves-in-subzero-temperature); it was -6 F at the time.

Watched an episode of _WKRP_ the other night with Gloria LeRoy as a former “exotic dancer”. Looked her up on [IMDb](http://www.imdb.com/name/nm0503755/) and wow, she’s still alive and had been working quite a lot until a couple years ago. Seems to have been the old lady patient of the week on a lot of medical shows.
Her bio starts off nicely: “Gloria’s outstanding career began on stage in Vaudeville. She spent the bulk of her career in theater and live burlesque.”
“Baby” Rose Marie is still alive. Did some voice work a few years back. Born in 1923. The first pic shown on IMDb [shows](http://www.imdb.com/name/nm0547300/mediaviewer/rm4144905728) her with the aforementioned Doris Day. Also worked in Vaudeville. She was in a short film double-billed with _The Jazz Singer_.
