# Who is Poor Donghae (and why is he poor)?

It’s a trending topic on Twitter. When I google, all I find is more Twitter stuff, though.

ETA: I also found this [link](http://www.soompi.com/forums/lofiversion/index.php/t282873.html). About some Asian show, and he’s supposedly some character whose father died. How did it get to twitter, though?

LOL. 😃 Donghae isn’t a character, he’s a real person - a member of the Korean boyband Super Junior.

As for how it got on Twitter, I couldn’t tell you. His dad died in 2006 and that show aired last year. I’ll search a bit on some Korean sites but dunno if I’ll find anything.

It might be inappropriate to find that page hilarious, but I do. Look at that single perfect shining tear! He’s a plastic doll of a human being. :eek: I wonder if grieving is in his contract.

Not sure about the original question, but apparently some members of that boy band are on twitter and uploaded a video of said member getting pranked (a pretty weak prank, I must say), so if a wave of their fans started posting [this video](http://www.allkpop.com/2010/05/donghae-gets-pranked-by-super-junior-members). (Warning: not particularly interesting video) it could have been boosted up. It was the first result for “poor donghae” in Google.
