Let’s see… yep, still on the couch. Ate the first tray of butter tarts, than drank a whole bottle of rum, snuck out for a chili omlette to quell the hangover, and now there are more butter tarts! Yay! Time to start the whole thing over. Except that I have a headache and cotton mouth now. I’m pretty sure I’m gonna be spending the winter here. Plenty of company, though. ---

I would just like to mention a very special Elephant Wrangler who is personally responsible for many, many little pachyderms safe arrival. This Wrangler has gone well above and beyond the call of duty, seeking out those who might have twice missed their pale be-trunked mammal and requesting special access to the Game Reserve to provide a home. Who is this person, you ask? It is none other than our very own **Rocking Chair**. For performing duties beyond the call, I hereby award **Rocking Chair** the _Silver Bow for Thoughtfulness._ Wear it proud, you’ve earned it. ---

I returned home from the annual family Thanksgiving (don’t ask) to find a package sitting on my side doorstep. Knowing that I hadn’t won anything on eBay lately and not expecting any packages, I quickly submerged the box in Lysol and boiling Clorox and then treated it to a burst from my portable irridator thingy. 🙂 Upon opening the box and rooting through the bubble wrap and tissue paper, I found that I had recieved a box of white elephants from none other than **Rocking Chair**! The biggest and coolest item was a tabletop fountain, which will soon have a home in my computer room (as soon as I find a place to put it). Also included were: \*A “USA” car antenna ball-now flying proudly above the flanks of the Anonymous Taurus of Doom. \*A view-master (I didn’t even know they still made 'em!) \*A little inflatable Godzilla mini punching bag (going to the office tomorrow) \*A fancy little cardboard box \*A Hogwarts School spiral notebook \*A clear vinyl makeup bag \*A teeny tiny Godiva chocolate shopping bag with a couple of plastic paper clips and a small pad of post-it notes \*A plastic fingertip gripper thingy \*A neat airtight plastic jar \*A stick-on memo clip (going on the fridge) \*A lighted pocket magnifier (with case and instructions!) \*A cool blue shotglass from LA (how did you know I collect shot glasses?) \*One of those prism thingies you look through and it looks like you’re looking through a compound eye \*A Harry Potter “spell” trading card \*A Lexar Media Compact Flash card pin with a little red flashing LED (fooled me for a second; I have a digital camera that uses CF cards and I thought you had sent me one. . .now that would have been above and beyond to the nth degree!) \*A very classy three-ring binder with brass corners, finished in genuine leatheresque vinyl; and \*A small wicker tray Yeehah! Christmas came early to Castell Zappo. Thanks! Getting your package made my weekend. I hope you’re coming to PhilaDopia on December 22 so I can properly thank you in person and buy you lots of alcohol. Thanks again! Zap! Who agrees 100% with what **thinksnow** said and believes **rocking chair** should get an “nk” (neato keen) device or at least an oak leaf cluster on that Silver Bow ---

I was on the couch, now I’m over on the White Elephant Stair-Master, those tarts are ruining my figure. I’m okay being an Elephant orphan, but I’m hoping I fare better in the Secret Santa sweeps. I never actually said anything, but _officially_, which is to say, as far as recieving something from the person who had me, I’m on the couch, too. I know mine was coming from over-seas and that it was sent before LA-Coldie-Spiney-Dope, but I think the USPostal Service is playing games with my pachyderm. ☹ Once again, I’ll burn through this thread (and maybe the old one, if I can skate at work for a bit) and drop an email off to the (ir-)responsible people. ---

**thinksnow** , I must take issue with the “irresposible” label, as I was one of the late senders. I did email my person and let her know what the hold up was. Finances being what that are around here, I didn’t have the obscene amount postage was gonna cost to ship that to box to Canada until a little over a week ago. At least one other person as said it was finances that was keeping them from shipping in a timely manner. It’s not like we were just sitting around staring at the box and giggling or ignoring the responsibility. ---

Yup. I knew it was **Arden** and I knew why it was going to be late. Being a single mom it was hard to scrape together the obscene amount that the package I sent cost. I totally understood when I saw her posts (while she, my sender, was still anonymous) and when I found out it was her because she emailed me, I told her to take care of things at home first. After all, it’s a nice thing to get, but her kids are more important. ---

I did send **two** packages. and for the record, it was an pretty expensive to mail to Canada. When I went to the post office the second time, my post guy said the Canadian post office was usually on some sort of strike or something. true? I know that its difficult to organize these things, but maybe next time we can mail within our own countries? alice has posted at least SEVEN times in this thread. I realize I was tardy in sending the SECOND package, but gees, lay off already. This is done in good fun and your constant complaining about it is wearing thin and making it decidedly not fun and making me not want to participate in it again. I have APPOLOGIZED to you a million times it seems. HERE: Hear Ye, Hear Ye: I APPOLOGIZE IN FRONT OF ALL THE DOPERS. I AM SO SORRY YOU HAVEN’T GOTTEN YOUR PACKAGES. I don’t know how to remedy this.
