Not sure how he fits into this thread. He’s been dead for 31 years, and Manos came out in 1966 - a full decade before the last movie written by Ed Wood that came out in his lifetime (though a mere 6 years before the last one he directed).

Ulli Lommel. He makes fictionalized films about serialized serial killers that manage to be both more stomach-churning than the original story, AND more boring. I don’t know who keeps giving him backing.
