Aren’t there quite a few .50 cal muzzleloaders out there? Frequently, easily, legally registered .50’s? Some pretty high-tech, accurate, composite-stock .50 muzzleloads that afford the owner an extra week or two of deer season (i.e. the “black powder” season)?
The McMillan Brothers can set you up with a .50 BMG bolt action repeating rifle for around $5k. Add to that cost for one hell of a sturdy scope and moutning rings. McMillan is geared toward competition benchrest rifles but the difference between a long range hunting rifle, a target rifle and sniper is often just semantic anyway. I’ve never shot one of their rifles, just seen some of the McMillan family at benchrest mathes here and have one of their fine stocks on one of my .22s.
Jwanno said it disappeared from the crawl around 2 (would the word “yanked” be too strong?).
He hasn’t reported any follow-through from the network.
I’m willing to bet that someone over there was misinformed.
And, I didn’t think it was important enough to call my mother, who does have cable, and ask her to sit there and watch CNN all day, when I know she’d rather be watching Animal Planet and The Bold and the Beautiful.
And, it’s not my job to do your basic research for ya, ya know? You wanna come into GQ and ask questions, then I’m delighted to look stuff up on Google for ya till the cows come home, babe, but ya gotta give me something to go on.
I think it might be them. I saw this story on all three local news stations over the weekend, but can’t find anything on their websites, so no link to proof. The name sounds familiar, though.
I don’t have cable.
I don’t have a satellite dish.
I have a TV set.
Period.
I get PBS, ABC, and WB really well, NBC and Fox if the weather is right, CBS hardly at all, unless you put the antenna on the piano bench by the front door and then have someone stand in the spot marked “X” on the living room floor in masking tape.
Seriously.
This is a lifestyle choice, in case you were wondering.
Bedsprings work, also aluminum combination storm windows.
Though I don’t want to take someones’ job away from them.
Your lifestyle sounds fine with me.I’m an old TV repairman so we have 3 working tvs and a couple more in the basement. Also probably enough electronics, albeit old stuff ,to build 2 more satellite systems.
