# Who is the tallest person you know?

I bring you a shameless rip-off of the “shortest person you know thread”: who is the tallest person you know?
For me, it’s my cousin Chris, who comes in at a whopping six feet, 10 inches. My entire family is big, but he dwarfs everyone else. He has to duck to come through our doorways and the palm of his hand could fit completely over my face. Next time he visits I’ll have to get a photo with him to show everyone how much bigger he is than me (and I’m 5’11, not exactly petite). I come up to about chest-height on him.
My other cousins are all big men, in the 6’4 to 6’7 range, but Chris is GIGANTIC.

My family is big as well. I am the shortest of my dad’s half of the family (boys anyway), and I come in at about 6’1. The tallest is 6’6 or so, so you have to go outside my family to find the tallest person I know, he was a friend from my high school, he’s about 6’9 or 6’10.

I was a manager for a college basketball team, so I knew a few people close to 7 feet tall…
6’10 & 6’11, and I met one of our recruits who we did not get but was 7’2"

My parents’ next door neighbor is 6’11". He was a rookie for the LA Lakers (around the same time as Magic Johnson so they know each other) but he hurt his back and couldn’t play pro anymore. He’s a really nice guy.

Well, I dated a girl whose was good friends with a girl Luc Longley was dating. I met him a couple of times and he was HUGE. 7’2" IIRC. This was when he was going to the Univerisity of New Mexico.

My best friend’s boyfriend. Which is funny because my best friend is one of the shortest people I know.
