Anyone know? Apparently he was famous and/or notable, but the name of the individual isn’t actually given. [![](http://tinypic.com/images/goodbye.jpg) ](http://tinypic.com/images/goodbye.jpg) ---

The trouble with [tinyurl.com](http://tinyurl.com) is that you never know where that link will take you. (There might be some magical software around that will expand it, but that’s extra hassle.) Your original link certainly goes to a reputable site; the tiny one might not. And copy-and-paste is easier anyway.[/hijack] ---

I dislike tinyurl for just that reason. Anyway, the SDMB shortened the link nicely. Again, I just wanted to let people know they can reverse Google an image nowadays. Just a few years ago, such things were just a fevered dream. I’m pretty sure I first heard of [tineye.com](http://tineye.com) here. But its still a surprise for people. ---

I had no idea about the reverse image lookup, but it certainly makes sense. Wow! And thanks! So, an associate of Ford’s eh? OP, why were you asking the question? ---

(There might be some magical software around that will expand it, but that’s extra hassle.) Your original link certainly goes to a reputable site; the tiny one might not.[/hijack] The folks at TinyURL are aware of this fear, and they’ve done something about it. If you click this link : [http://preview.tinyurl.com/image-of-a-man-identified](http://preview.tinyurl.com/image-of-a-man-identified) (same link as before, but with “preview” inserted) you get to a page at TinyURL that will show you the full URL before you access it.
