Twitter can provide a feed of the day’s news, or a quick comic remark. Some groups make too many posts (NPR) so I dropped them. Some are not funny (Colbert). I do enjoy the NZ Spokesbird (@Spokesbird). Rachel Maddow and Bill Maher both keep me interested. I like the Washington Post’s daily tweets from the American Civil War. **Who else can keep me amused on Twitter?** ---

Conan and Daniel Tosh are pretty damn amusing. Also, I don’t care for her Twitter, for Sarah Silverman is funny on Facebook. ---

Re Sarah Silverman. I only tweet for work so I don’t really use twitter much but looking at it, it looks like she might have the same feed on both accounts now, so ignore what I said above since I only follow her on Facebook. Conan and Tosh are the only two non-work people I follow (and I only follow like 10 people total) so when I go on twitter once a day (for work) I have something amusing to look at. ---

The most reliably interesting people I follow on Twitter are @JSCarroll, author Jonathon Carroll, and @charltonbrooker, columnist Charlie Brooker, although Americans may not find him funny. ---

@wilw is consistently entertaining, as is @ActuallyNPH (Wil Wheaton and Neil Patrick Harris). I also follow @NathanFillion and @pattonoswalt. ---

If you’re politically liberal, follow @BorowitzReport. Have no idea what the equivalent would be for conservatives. Funny regardless of political affiliation: @SteveMartinToGo; @TheContentFarm Interesting links: @brainpicker, @openculture Look at the recommendations they give you, you’ll find more people to your liking. I follow a lot of word nerds and editors, e.g. – following one leads you to others. [mod]And I’m going to move this over to IMHO.[/mod] ---
