I have a warm spot for Skinner, he’s my favorite. Most right on the money best characterization is Comic Book Guy. ---

I have a fondness for Dr. Hibbert, since we share the same Alma Mater. Favorite quote is tough, that changes a lot. At the moment, it’s Homer: “Weaseling out of things is important to learn. It’s what separates us from the animals… except the weasel.” ---

Chief Wiggum. There are so many quotes from him that had me in tears from laughing so hard. When the grave of Springfield founder Jebediah Springfield is opened up: Wiggum: OH MY GOD! Somebody replaced the body of Jebediah Springfield with a SKELETON! (the following ventriloquist act Chief Wiggum has with the skull is hysterically funny, in my opinion). Or… Marge goes to the police to report Sideshow Bob’s letters threatening to murder Bart. Wiggum: (laughing) Well Ma’am. I wish I could help you out, but you know, there really is no law against sending people threatening letters in the mail. Marge: Excuse me, but I think there is! Wiggum: OH, that’ll be the day when I need to take cop lessons from Ma Kettle. And let’s not forget Sideshow Bob’s Parole Hearing: Wiggum: Sideshow Bob has no decency; he called ME Chief PIGGUM! (spectators laugh which embarrasses Wiggum at first but then he laughs and says:) Oh, hey, that’s pretty funny. Oh yeah, I get it now; that’s good… ---

My favorite character has to be Homer. He had my favorite quote as well. When he was stuck on the Springfield monorail, Marge said she found someone to help him. Homer asks if it’s Batman. When Marge says no, it’s a scientist. Homer says, “Batman’s a scientist.” ---
