Mind you, there’s a lot of mix-ups regarding the proper names of the vehicle. Bond drove both the coupe and the convertible (or “[V8 Vantage](http://www.v8vantage.com/V8%20PROTO.htm)” and “[V8 Volante](http://www.v8vantage.com/Volante.htm)”, respectively), notably in “The Living Daylights”. Actually, 007’s first Aston Martin was the prettiest, IMHO… the silver-birch over black 1964 DB5, from _Goldfinger_. ---

Hoo yeah, that’s a nice one. It has a brief return in _Goldeneye_, in that awesome[sup]1[/sup] carchase with Famke Janssen in the Ferrari 355. Classic stuff. [/quote] [sup]1[/sup] = It’s awesome, but also a tad unrealistic. In reality, an F355 would annihilate a DB5 on any thinkable track, mountain road, or parking lot. But STILL. ---

Anyways, look at any comparison of the Corvette ZO6 and the BMW Z8 and the Corvette blows the beemer away in every single performance catagory. C4 corvettes weren’t up to par, but the C5 corvettes are really world-class in performance at less than half the price of the competition(aka - BMW Z8). Next years ZO6 is supposed to be bumped up to 400hp and have better handling to match. \*\* Thank you kuwatto! ---

As for out of production cars I like the old Ford Galaxie 500s. Convertable, 3 on the tree please. Also the Buick Riviera. Nice boats. As for cars in production: Morgan plus 8, the Avanti (I read that once again they’re back at it) and the BMW Z8. As for cars in production I may be able to afford: the Peugeot 607. I used to totally dismiss French cars but the new models have been innovative and really good looking. The PT Cruiser. They remind me of my great uncle’s old painter’s truck. I’m guessing Americans are divided into love it - hate it camps, but they’re so rare here that I stop and gawk every time I see one go by.
