I like **Sunny Daze**! šŸ˜ƒ And thank you to everyone for all the suggestions. My little list so far is: Sunny Daze Mostly Sunny Here Comes the Sun They Call Me Sunny Sunny Says Iā€™m playing around with the suggestion about another celestial body (Iā€™d use Celestial Body, but not sure I want to lead with that). Solar Flare Day Star Day Star amuses me. I often mutter in a vampire accent about the ā€œbright light of the day starā€ whenever I have to go outside. (The migraines make me very light sensitive.) I sometimes throw in a fake cape gesture and hissing noises for added enjoyment. The kids like it. ---

Iā€™m confused (I get confused easily). Itā€™s the second time I see a reference to wheat bread as something apparently different from white bread. What is the difference? Is wheat bread wholewheat? ---

Yes. Usually that is what is meant. White bread would be the finely sifted and lighter colored flour. Wheat/whole wheat is a coarser ground and is a darker color. ---

I have no idea why I am awake. Canā€™t blame the dog, not my bladder, Iā€™m not too hot or too cold. Weird dream where I was taking with a friend, and the conversation was very real, not dreamlike. It made perfect sense in the dream and awake. Add me to those who donā€™t eat sushi. Although I did have some once, rice and stuff rolled up in seaweed, but the shrimp inside was cooked. So maybe that isnā€™t really sushi. It was okay, Iā€™d eat it again, but not good enough for me go out and buy some. ---

Good Morninā€™ Yā€™all! Up and caffeinatinā€™. _YAWN_ ā€˜Tis 75 Amurrkin out and mostly cloudy with a predicted high of 91, sunny, and no chance of rain for the day. I had planned on goinā€™ over to OYKWā€™s place to mow his yahd but it rained a fair amount late yestiddy afternoon into the eveninā€™ so ā€˜tis all wet out at the moment. I may put it off until Firday as I also need to mow da cave yahd which I plan on doinā€™ tomorrow. Also, when the grass is dry I plan to spray some weed killer around the cee-mint pond filter. I do that two or three times a year. However, it needs to be dry with a reasonable chance of no rain for twenty-four hours to be effective. I have to go over to OYKWā€™s place this morninā€™ anyway cause I told his bug man Iā€™d be there to let him in at eight this morninā€™. **sunny** I like _sunny daze_. **Pearl** appropriate/inappropriate appendages crossed re the new gig. OK I need more caffiene and rumbly tummy wants sustenance. Then I suppose I should make myself presentable to be about the public. Happy Hump Day Yā€™all! ---

Hereā€™s what I donā€™t like about the end of the summer - darkness. Usta be when I let Higgs out to pee at 8 in the evening, it was bright out, and when she had her morning pee at 5:30 or so, it was light. Now, not so much. As Iā€™m driving to work, I have to flip my rear view mirror so I donā€™t get blinded by headlights from behind. Stoopit dark. And the weather lady was saying by November something, weā€™ll be down to 9-ish hours of daylight. But itā€™s Wednesday and Iā€™m awake and dressed and surveying piles of papers on my desk. So thereā€™s that. Happy Wednesday!! ---

I also vote for Sunny Daze with Day Star as my second choice My introduction to sushi came from a woman who, at the time, Iā€™d only known for a few months. Sheā€™d come up to NYC for a vaca, and I met her at her hotel and we went for lunch at a nearby Japanese restaurant. Iā€™ve had and liked tempura and teriyaki, but she suggested I try sushi. It was 1981 at the dawn of sushiā€™s rise to popularity in the US. Iā€™d always imagined sushi as being present as a whole raw fish, with fins, scales, and eyes ablazinā€™, so I was reluctant. But she and I had similar tastes in so many things, that I figured if sheā€™s recommending it, itā€™s probably tasty. So, I ordered a couple of pieces of innocuous looking nigiri, and I was hooked (pun intended). Iā€™ve been a sushi fan ever since. Fast forward to 1998. She and I and a bunch of our friends went to a Benihana-type place for dinner. I offered to share a sushi appetizer with her, but she replied she never touched the stuff. After I picked my bottom jaw up off the floor and reattached it, I said ā€œbut youā€™re the one who introduced me to sushi 1981!ā€ She said ā€œAh, but if you recall, I had tempura.ā€ tl;dr: a friend who hated the stuff thought Iā€™d like sushi, and she was right. and so, I leave you with a blurf to hold you until tomorrow, or something interesting in the conversation prompts me to interject my 2 cents. ---

Pouring rain is the forecast and itā€™s raining now. Iā€™z tahred. The big news is that I leased a horse, the one Iā€™ve been riding in my lessons. Her name is Ariel and she is a chestnut TB. Part of me is crying and puking and saying ā€œwhat have I done???ā€ ::clutches pearls:: The other part of me is saying ā€œthe universe has righted itself and this is where I want to be.ā€ The good news is that legally the barn still owns her so if I decide that this situation isnā€™t right, I donā€™t have to deal with selling her. ---

**blurf** I have a hangover today. I took a motrin with my coffee. I got a late night text from my older clerk that she was bound for the mainland with heart ailments and maybe even open heart surgery. My new clerk left this morning to take her son to college in VA. She will be gone a week but this was pre planned even before I hired her. So, that leaves my one clerk who has to leave early cause of her kids and me. So it will be just me every afternoon until 1800. I texted my boss to let him know about the sick clerk and staff shortage and he wrote back" welcome to the club" and spouted off three other managers who are short of staff. Asshole. ---
