Who owns Antartica?

Talked to a guy in the Air National Guard about how they do air-resupply stuff. One of the things they do in Antarctica is to drop eggs from C-130s by the pallete-load. Seems the eggs are placed on special egg-holding cushions made out of cardboard with air pockets between them. When the pallete hits the ice, the cushions collapse, and the pallet becomes about 50% shorter, with most of the eggs un-broken.

According to http://www.bigdeadplace.com/taxes.html the US government hasn’t even decided if US research stations in Antarctica count as being foreign. The USSC has ruled that they are in a foreign country, and thus employees of Raytheon Polar Services Corporation (which operates the stations) have no recourse to the Fair Labor Standards Act, while the IRS considers them to be not in a foreign country for tax purposes.
