Even though I have seen a couple of pictures of you, you’d be amazed at how I see Jim Beaver’s face whenever I see your name here. In my case, for looks, I’d have to insist that some resemblance to Shelby Foote be involved and for personality it would be more like James Burke. If there’s an actor with that blend, I can’t think of him. ---

Hmm I’m only 26 and hopefully still have a fair bit of life ahead of me. Think of the highlights of my life: smart, nerdy and very unpopular kid, valedictorian in high school, came out as gay to family when I was 16, around the time my parents were finalizing their divorce. Went to college, studied physics, went to grad school, studied education, taught high school physics for a couple years, got my heart broken several times, met the man of my dreams, got a new job working on a boat which I love, then got my heart broken again. That pretty much sums up my life up until now. Going further, how I see it going realistically: slowly gets life back together, adopts kids someday on his own because he can’t find anyone compatible before his deadline of having kids (32), eventually falls in love with someone who wants to help raise his kids with him, they live happily ever after and into their old age with many grandchildren. So, I think my life kind of would need to be a light-hearted drama, what with the gay stuff and the quitting of teaching profession, and all the heartbreak. Who should play me? Hmm… I’ll go with Elijah Wood. He’s charming in a shy, reserved way. He’s attractive but can look like a dweeb too, which is kind of like me. He’s young enough now to play me growing up as well as when I’m older, I think. And our physical appearances while not strikingly similar (he’s much more attractive than I am) are not worlds apart either. ---

When I first thought of the idea for this thread, I thought Richard Dreyfuss for myself, although we don’t look alike. Then my daughter suggested Gene Wilder, and I don’t resemble him either, it’s more a question of type of character than appearance. ---

Rather than starting up a new thread to point this out, I’d just like to say that [Jason Silva](http://images.search.yahoo.com/search/images;_ylt=AhtvBwwaV.Ncct.exopRxYCbvZx4?p=jason+silva&toggle=1&cop=mss&ei=UTF-8&fr=yfp-t-900) is likely to be cast as Tamerlan Tsarnaev when they get rolling on the highly likely movie dealing with the Boston Marathon Bombing. Silva’s picture keeps popping up in an ad promoting a new show **BRAIN GAMES** and as often as not one of the pictures of Tsarnaev will be on that same page. If the need to finish casting that movie seems worth the trouble maybe we can locate other candidates. At least Rachel Maddow has already made the case for such a movie, so it’s not just my idea. 🙂 ---
