I believe the song was written specifically to accomodate her limited vocal range. She sings in the movie _Funny Face_ as well and she expected her vocals to be used in _My Fair Lady_. ---

I would like a recording of Audrey singing “Moon River,” but it’s not on the soundtrack. AFAIK, you can only hear it by watching the movie. I like her whispery acoustic version better than any other version I’ve heard. ---

And I was going to comment that she did a very realistic job of faking the guitar playing, until I read at the end of the clip that she actually did play the guitar during the recording! ---

IMHO she sounded, from those samples, up to the task of singing.
