I like Hillary Clinton. I think she is a great stateswoman and is particularly interested in the same causes I am interested in. And she has worked towards those causes for the past 30 years. I also am very impressed with her for taking all of the blame for the email server scandal and not throwing anyone under the bus in her hearings. I already admired and respected her previously but she got a lot more respect from me after that. ---

Probably if it wasn’t for pointless sexism, her ambitions and skills would have gotten her into elected office long before 2000 and her presidency might now be in the past, possibly replacing Bill’s. Or she might have had a career in the Marines, who knows? ---

I’ve been in love with Hillary since 1992, and I’d marry her now too. Not for the sex (although 1968 Hillary was hot). Just to sit companionably together in the evenings, after a delicious dinner I’d prepared for us, listening to music, maybe playing some cribbage. I kinda wish she’d been elected President in 2008, because now she could retire and take it easy, and we’d all be voting for a 55-year-old Barry Bamz next month. The only real difference I can see is that we’d be just off eight years of Republican misogynist obstruction, and getting ready for eight years of Republican racist obstruction. Instead of the other way round. ---

She’s “likeable enough” as Obama once said. I do like the idea of her being our next President. I’m not as excited as I was in 2008, but she’ll be fine. So, compared to most years, yes, I like that. This is basically where I’m at. I think most of us have Clinton fatigue; she seems to have been running for POTUS for 20 years, so she’s just not new and fresh the way Obama was in '08.
