Yes, Burton was awful. He may be so used to talking to children that he kept that tone with adults. He sounded like he was talking down to the contestants. ---

A logical next step. But don’t feel sorry for Mike Richards. He’ll be in huge demand on Fox News and other right-wing outlets. They never tire of the “cancel culture” story. It could even lead to a full-time on-air job; who would be surprised if it did? ---

They’re showing reruns of the Tournament of Champions with Buzzy again. He has reinforced my vote for the best choice. His interactions with the contestants is amazing, and he’s so very positive and energetic. I don’t know if he could keep it up year-after-year. ---

Maybe they should just give up on the idea of a permanent host and just have a continuing string of guest hosts. And nobody guests for more than two weeks so we don’t get attached to them. ---
