The situation is so messy and fucked up that I can’t even begin to judge whether the assassination was justified. Living in that area (as an Israeli or Palestinian)… I can only imagine what that does to one’s psyche. I’d guess that if the US were undergoing those masses of suicide bombers on home soil, in our malls and day-care centers, we’d be flipping out and killing people with as much or greater fervor as Israel. Justifications would be paper-thin (uhm…) and we’d probably be calling for mucho blood and a live play-by-play on CNN, which would probably spur our attackers on even more. Inertia is the damnedest thing. ---

Oh, so you only want to keep the good Jews. The ones that take their ass whoopin’ and don’t fight back. And I wish my wife was a New York diamond dealer. But nope, despite the Jew-Zionist conspiracy that runs the country she is but a lowly student with not a penny to her name. My uncle’s business partner is Jewish and moved to tel Aviv a few years ago. I guess by moving he became one of the evil Jews. Silly me, I thought he just wanted to live in the Jewish homeland in peace. I guess that’s not gonna happen, because everyone in Israel needs to get their trophy raghead to mount on their wall. After all, they’re all murderers, right? BTW, this thread is truly disgusting. With every post, every stereotype, every anti-Semitic remark you make you reveal more of yourself. **ccwaterback** , hate speech is NOT acceptable on the SDMB, in any forum.
