I’m just glad they didn’t do anything crazy with the casting. I don’t know much about this guy, but just from the announcement special, he seems like he could be good. ---

After watching the first series of [“Skins,”](http://www.imdb.com/title/tt0840196/) I’ve decided that [Nicholas Hoult](http://www.imdb.com/name/nm0396558/?ref_=tt_cl_t1) might be an interesting choice. He’s kind of good-looking, but funny enough looking to be a Doctor. By the way, why didn’t anyone tell me that “Skins” was so frickin’ addictive? ETA: And I see that Peter Capaldi is the winner! That’s what I get for not reading the whole thread! ---

Yes, I did mean 8th. As for the 2nd question, I meant it’s possible that Hurt is a regeneration after 8 and before what we know as 9, which was suppressed because of whatever he did that was so horrible. In that case, I’d guess the thing he did somehow involved ending the Time War and destroying the Time Lords. ---

John Hurts Doctor is between 8th and 9th, he has done something that makes him not a Doctor, must be bad. ---

It’s been a spectacularly ineffective genocide of one, however.
