Not to thread-shit, but I think any intelligent, well-spoken, well groomed person would be fine. I like having a host — I wouldn’t want an empty lectern and someone reading the answers off-stage — but the amount of personality that the person needs to display is minimal. Better too little than too much. Too little personality is much, much better than too much. Jeopardy isn’t Family Feud where the interactions between the families and the host is part of the fun. I think I’d like a woman this time, just for variety. ---

Someone who can make the little interview segments less cringeworthy. Or someone who can persuade the show executives to eliminate those segments entirely. Really, does anyone care about any of that, other than the person and their family? I had to give up watching a long time ago because the combination of amateurs trying to tell something about themselves, and Trebek’s heavy-handed attempts at, well, talking like a person just drove me away. ---

Aisha Tyler would be a good choice. I think she did a nice job hosting her short-lived panel show on AMC last year. She’s obviously very smart, and she can be serious or funny as the situation warrants. Plus, she’s much hotter than Trebek. ---

On each individual show there’s not much room to be creative. We like Alex because he’s been on forever and over the years his personality has come out in 10 second increments. It might be a good payday for her but Aisha Tyler’s talents in improv and stand up would be totally wasted. The main qualifications for the job are just to be able to read the questions and get through all of them in the time allowed. ---

My ideal host would be Jimmy Kimmel, based on how well he did as the questioner/straight man on _Win Ben Stein’s Money_. I don’t think he’s available, though. It wouldn’t kill me to see Ken Jennings. ---
