Who should the Democrats choose for national party chair?

To clarify a point:

The chair (acting through the organization) should do just that, but it isn’t up to the chair to formulate what the message is, but rather to distribute it in a timely and efficient manner.

Update: Harold Ickes, a very prominent Democrat (former aide to Bill Clinton, and head of Hillary Clinton’s PAC), has endorsed Dean: http://www.cnn.com/2005/ALLPOLITICS/01/28/democrats.chair.ap/index.html

Update: The DNC Chair election is next week – and everybody but Dean has dropped out of the race. Roemer, his last opponent, bowed out today:http://edition.cnn.com/2005/ALLPOLITICS/02/07/democrats.chair.ap/

So I guess the only question left to debate is, what kind of DNC Chair will Dean make?
