Hypothetical question: First off, if you’re a committed relationship, imagine you’re not. Next, imagine you run into the most sexually appealing person you’ve ever met. (For simplicity, I’m going to use “she” throughout, but feel free to mentally switch pronouns to fit your preference.) She’s extremely attractive, she moves in the all right ways, and she seems to be interested in you. But then you find out she’s married. You’re sure she isn’t interested in leaving her husband, and you’re also sure she’ll gladly have an affair with you if you want to. The risk of getting caught seems unlikely, but not impossible. Don’t do it. I’ve been in both situations. (me single/him married and me married/him single, both different men) It’s not worth it. Let’s say that you decide to have an affair with her an she leaves her husband for you. Would you ever be able to trust her. After all, if she cheated on him, she’ll cheat on you. * * * That John Denver’s full of shit man! ---

Well, I’ve been in that situation too. The wife told me that her husband and her had an “open marriage.” It turns out that they had different opinions on the subject. My “affair”, if you want to call it that, was very short-live in any case (less than a month.) An of course it wasn’t worth it. ---
