Poor doggie, but I gotta say 14 years is a pretty good lifespan for a pooch with so many health problems. ---

They mentioned his death this morning on _Canada AM_. They even showed a clip of him. In real life, he didn’t look as ugly as his pictures, but he seemed to have a bad temper (or he didn’t like to be on TV). ---

Look folks…even dogs need someone(thing) to bring them over the river Styx. As far as I’m concerned…that dog didn’t need a penny to get across. I’m betting that it gets to the other side™ and gets a commision that gives it seniority. I’ll agree that it’s the ugliest dog that I’ve ever seen…but I’d also bet that it was a sweetheart. 🙂 ---

Aww…poor little guy. Well, at least he died well-loved. I can’t help but think of him every time I see ground Buffalo meat at the supermarket. (Which was, as I remember, what his owner said he liked to eat. Incidentally, I had a microwaved soy burger patty for dinner tonight.) _Requiescat In Pace,_ Sam. ☹ ---

I’ve had a couple of dogs like that—grumpy, even mean, but they were wagging their tail’s when they were snapping at you for disturbing them, and they’d mope terribly when the person they’d “chosen” was away (mope, and/or start harrassing anyone else in the house instead of just ignoring them—like they were saying “all right, damn you, where are you hiding _my_ human? Don’t make me kill you, 'cause _I will!_”). ---
