Reagan. My first inkling of “president” was of Bill Clinton.

Also, **Qin** , I’m only 24 and you’re making me feel old. I suppose that’s a feeling I’d best get used to.

Just out of principle, I won’t vote in any poll that’s public. But I will post that it was Eisenhauer. And there were only 48 states at the time.

As far as I can tell, while he pretty much went exclusively by “Jimmy” his legal and official name in James Earl Carter. He’s listed as “James Carter” (although referred to as Jimmy) in his [White House bio](http://www.whitehouse.gov/about/presidents/jimmycarter). I’d think they’d know.

Born during the Eisenhower administration. I was in kindergarten on Nov. 22, 1963, and JFK’s death was the first national news I can remember, primarily because of my mother crying.

First guy I voted for was Carter in '76.
