Oh, c’mon! Nothing against Christopher Lee, who is a fine actor and deserving of all the praise that we can heap upon him. But to conduct such a poll on the day that his death is announced is the height of unfairness. ---

Klaus Kinski. Amazing actor in one of the most atmospheric take on the story. Forget about the glamour Dracula, this is all about the creepiness, suffering and, yes, boredom of being a centuries-old monster. ---

Plenty of good actors have done a fine job in the role but if you are pretending to be Dracula you are doing a Bela Lugosi impersonation. Now, when it comes to Blacula there can be only one. ---

Had to go with Gary Oldman. I had no idea it was him until the credits rolled. The makeup was superb, and Oldman is a chameleon. [The laugh](https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=5Ioiag30eAI) was the best, and the role far more creepy and complex. Also, I still try to imitate his pronunciation of ‘blood’. ---
