Then there are the traffic gods. I am unclear how many of them there are; I suspect that they are many, and that they are place-based or even event-based. If we count gargoyles as gods of a lesser sort (and I do), then [this guy](https://i.pinimg.com/736x/9c/45/a3/9c45a35fcdeb7e11963ab65a7e5fb9d1.jpg) is my favorite. He is Dedo, a Notre Dame gargoyle who has presided over my garden for many years. Unfortunately he has been crumbling at the base recently, so we are looking for Dedo II. ---

I rather like Cloacina, the goddess of the Cloaca Maxima, the Roman sewer system, who you might try praying to when your plumbing backs up. ---

I like **Bes,** the ancient Egyptian god of humor, musicians, dancers, childbirth, and servant girls. A true renaissance god. And I am fond of the Roman demigodess sisters **Flora** and **Pomona,** representing flowers, and fruit orchards. ---

I’m assuming that we aren’t confined to Terry Pratchett’s concept of minor gods? Gefion is a minor Norse goddess associated with fertility and agriculture. Sounds like a pretty good fit! ---

Um, Pomona is bigger here in California than in New York, probably. She’s the goddess featured on the state’s shield, recognized as the goddess of harvests, not just flowers. Oh yeah, there’s also a local city _named_ Pomona. ---

Hinges, apples, south wind - at least those are _something._ Surely there are some poor individuals who are gods of _nothing_, and yet whose names are attested in the pantheon. Váli, son of Odin? Surely people have better examples. ---

Whoever or whatever it is that occasionally talks to me in the woods and the fields. If such a being has or ever had a name, I don’t know what it is/was. (yes, I know, I know, there’s absolutely no objective evidence that it’s not the inside of my own head talking. But while I’m definitely an atheist about the God Of The Three Omnis, I’m only an agnostic about the Small Gods.)
