Who will be the first Trump cabinet member to leave after he's inaugurated

His tats make me question his judgement.

Acquired while drunk, maybe?

On a day that ended in “Y”.

So, 24/7?

When it was 5:00 somewhere.

I doubt anyone in the admin will criticize her for being overly confrontational and nasty. To the contrary, I imagine she is lauded for those very characteristics.

But I periodically wonder how challenging it would be to do that job day in and day out - especially for a President such as Trump. Some people have the ability to simply lie in their/their client’s best interest with a straight face. To do so on-and-on either requires some serious compartmentalization by that person, suggests a profound disdain for one’s audience/the truth, or would be quite fatiguing over time.

Looks like National Security Adviser Mike Waltz will be the first to go. He lasted approximately 9.2 Scaramuccis.

Trump’s national security adviser Mike Waltz expected to depart administration, sources say | CNN Politics

Waltz has been on shaky ground and lost most of his influence in the West Wing after he inadvertently added a reporter to a group chat about military strikes. Trump stood by him at the time, but Waltz’s standing never really recovered, according to four sources. He had also lost clout with top aides inside the West Wing.

Yeah, how dare that guy reveal that we’re using an insecure app, which violates the law by autodeleting communications, to discuss military strikes!

One down 50 or 60 to go! Hopefully this movement gets the gets the temperature of a House on fire! ….The White House that is!

C.Thurston Bessent III. I just wanted to type that :slightly_smiling_face:

He’s not Lovey, I can tell you that.

A Democratic Representative, Mark Pocan, did a masterful job of holding Bessent’s feet to the fire (five minute video–the back-and-forth starts about 1:42):

“Do you remember the question?”, after he asks it about ten times

He (Bessent) is no Alexander Hamilton, that’s for damn sure. A. Ham is probably rolling in his grave.

Looks like Noem is the first Cabinet secretary to go:

Trump fires Kristi Noem as Homeland Security Secretary | The Independent

Donald Trump has fired Kristi Noem as secretary of the Department of Homeland Security, ending her year-long tenure at an agency that is leading his mass deportation efforts and an anti-immigration campaign that has targeted thousands of immigrants and their families.

He has nominated Oklahoma Senator Markwayne Mullin to replace her.

He really didn’t want to “give them a scalp” by letting ANY Cabinet member go. But Noem violated Rule ONE: she spent millions of taxpayer dollars to promote herself (Presidential campaign, 2028!) and then said Donald had authorized it. (He disclaims all knowledge.)

Thou shalt not maneuver yourself to replace the Dear Leader!!!

I agree with Sherrerd.

Now, I had thought the first to go would be Pam Bondi due to failure to indict Trump’s enemies, much less have them thrown in prison. Bondi could go next.

I’ve been calling Trump a dictator, and in some ways he is. But, as dictators go, you are a pitiful one if you cannot jail even a dozen enemies. He must know that.

With shit about to get serious in Iran, Trump felt he needed to make an example of someone, to demonstrate that no one (other than the emperor himself, of course), is truly safe in this regime. And given how unpopular the administration’s immigration enforcement tactics have become, the growing brouhaha over the private jets, her affair with Lewandowski, and the fact that few others in the GOP really seemed to like her, Noem was an easy one to throw under the bus.

Still, if I were Pam Bondi or Kash Patel, I wouldn’t be sleeping too comfortably right now.

Bondi and Patel are probably okay so long as they refrain from promoting themselves too vigorously.

Promotion of Donald is always permitted, of course.

As far as the war, though: Donald NEEDS it to “go badly” and his response will not be to fire anyone, but to Declare an Emergency.

He’ll have to blame it on somebody. Perhaps Pete. Or some random general.

Guessing that Noam will be the new Secretary of the ‘War’ Department. It could be any random boot licker though.

Trump created a special position for her already: she’s the United States Special Envoy for The Shield of the Americas. So far, I haven’t seen anything about what that actually entails.
