And a certain segment of his followership (esp. the religious right) **does** think there is something _just wrong_ about the “childfree” life and some of the more hardcore do think less of not having children “of your own”. ---

Oh, Hell yeah. As a hetero male, childless by choice, and married into a MAGA religious family, I can tell you this first hand. It’s a big part of why my wife’s relationship with her family is so bad. ---

So, as for the thread title question: I think Trump must be reasonably satisfied with Vance vs. Walz and will sick with Vance. Anyone disagree? ---

The varsity vs JV bit was generous. Vance is clearly not someone the country, including the MAGA base, wants to be the head of the country in a crisis. He is roughly nine points under on approval to disapproval. And Trump is going to get increasingly frustrated at not getting the center of attention in the news. Dropping Vance after the DNC gets the focus. ---
