I don’t think the R’s really care about this kind of dressing up in women’s clothes. It’s a costume for comedic value, where the comedy comes from exploiting gay/trans stereotypes. It’s the same way that a racist will put on blackface and act out Black stereotypes. They’re not necessarily doing it because they relate to presenting as a woman. Rather, they put on the costume of a woman so they can act out in inappropriate ways and say inappropriate things. Exactly what the R’s love to do. ---

If Vance laughed it off and said it was just a joke when he was younger then it would be a nothingburger but Vance will find a way to make it weird. men use facial hair for contouring much like women use make up. i know a guy who is a very big 6’9", (he has no interest in sports) he has a very baby face. he tried a beard once, it changed his face so much. he went from cuddly gentle giant to very scary guy you did not want to run into on a well lit street at high noon. he shaved within 2 weeks. jd vance is a very odd awkward person. why on earth would he bring up walz’s marriage?! ---

Absolutely. I actually use 9 different lengths with a beard trimmer to try to give the illusion that my chin is larger than it is by up to a full centimeter. It doesn’t sound like much but it makes a difference. It subtly reshapes my whole lower face from the cheekbones down. ---

Yeah, wrong line to say about a serial womanizer and philanderer. I’ve been watching a lot of political videos lately and thus seen lots of clips of JD Vance. I’ve never liked him, but now I _despise_ this mutherfucker with a fury. He is a terrible attack dog. He can’t sell a talking point to save his life. The cadence in his voice is totally wrong. He comes across like a petulant edgelord teen and a _lot_ less mature than his actual age. Even if Trump were doing well otherwise, Vance is so bad that I think his presence alone might be enough to sink the campaign. He is going to go down in US political history as one of the greatest jokes ever. ---
