Agree. Vance is literally oiliest, fakest\* politiican I have ever encountered in American politics, and Walz is the coolest and most authentic. \*Then again, Mike Pence. Though not oily. Smarmy to the power of infinity. ---

Vance confessed that when a teen he played Magic-the Gathering, but dropped it to attract girls. This is typical. Lie about who you are and what you like so that your relationship and even whole life is based on a lie. I am somewhere between Harris and Biden in age- but I have always admitted I play D&D, and board games. And so my marriages isnt based upon a lie (my wife and i have many interests in common, but she is not a D&D player, and I do not knit- but she encourages me to play- _“Have fun storming the castle!”_ ---

His benefactor was and is Thiel. Endearing himself to his benefactor and the others of that orbit, saying the things he thinks they want to hear, mattered first and foremost. Then he had the money to convince an electorate to vote him into the Senate, and a platform to get chosen as running mate. He’s stuck with that persona now. I am picturing some old Twilight Zone or such where gets wore masks for a party and when they took them off their faces had become the masks. ---

Trumpie likes to brag about being the best, the greatest, the smartest in history. Actually, for once he may be right about making history, but not in the way he might want. JD Vance is now the most unpopular VP candidate at least in modern history, polling below Sarah Palin levels. This particular article is from a UK paper but it’s all over American news, too – ABC, MSN, _The New Republic_ … I don’t think there’s any doubt now that this Appalachian hayseed is a drag on the Trump campaign and may well help to sink it, perhaps along with Vance’s own political career. HIs face looks like that rug that snuggles up around the base of toilet. Mine is 25 years old, full of piss-splatter, somewhat moldy or maybe mildewy. I don’t know. Just nasty and don’t even want to pick it up to toss it out. ---

Trump is now so mired in dementia and fear of losing that Vance is probably in legitimate fear of being dropped from the ticket. It would be a crazy thing for Trump to do at this stage in the election cycle, but the Orange Felon stopped being rational a long time ago. ---

My bolding–I’m thinking that if Trump does it, this coming week might be the time. Trump’s been running on an attention deficit for weeks now, ever since Biden stepped aside. He’s got to be seething. Perhaps the thought of taking _ **all** _ attention away from the Democratic Convention is what’s soothing him enough to let him retain the ability to walk upright. Even if he announces that Vance is stepping aside due to some reason that’s not Donald’s fault (surely a requirement), he’s not going to get ALL the attention away from the Dems. So he’ll have to add a real corker—an announcement of a new running mate that will freak the news media the hell out. I’m thinking: Ivanka. Or possibly, if Ivanka refuses: who but Marjorie Taylor Greene? I doubt if Donald can stand her: she’s not pretty.
