After years and years of geriatric rockers taking the stage in the middle of the Super Bowl, I’ve resigned myself to the fact that I’ll have to wait at least a decade before the performer is someone I listened to of my own free will. In 15 years, I’ll be almost 40 and FINALLY the target demographic. So who will they toss up there to keep me tuned in? It’s gotta be someone who will appeal to all of my generation but is insanely popular today or in the 90s. I’m settling on Dave Matthews or perhaps Darius Rucker/Hootie. Remember, it’s not who you WANT to play the HTS, it’s who WILL play. ETA: GF votes for Toby Keith, if he’s still around. ---

In a fluke two of the 18 expansion teams added in 2024 will make the big game. The Salt Lake City Halls of Justice and Des Moines Steel Cut Oats will play. In an odd twist, Hall & Oats will be the half time entertainment. ---
