I was going to suggest Jared Leto, who once gained 67 pounds in order to play Mark David Chapman and seems like just the kind of pretentious bastard who would be thrilled to suffer for his art like that again to play Chris Christie. But it seems, per his Wikipedia page, that Leto has decided that pulling that stunt once was enough. ---
