We had a decade of the McCarthy Era (late 1940s to late 1950s). We’re into over half a decade of the Trump Era (starting with his presidency. I’d like to think it won’t last more than a decade). What playwrights /authors are lilkely to produce a play as significant as Arthur Miller’s “The Crucible” that captures the times we’re witnessing? Has any play or novel already done so? ---

There were multiple people trying to be that Arthur Miller of the W Bush era and they all failed so I doubt it. ---

Trump was supposed to have had his Welch-like moment back in 2016.
