This is awarded to the outstanding player of the tournament. Obviously, still a way to go, but who’s your money on?

In a tournament where the goals have been shared around, I’m going for a defender, the peerless Fabio Cannavaro, of Italy and Juve, whose prospects are enhanced by the fact that Italy are facing Ukraine in their quarter final.
