If the computer voice is female, of course Majel Barret is the only option. Hell, she’s recorded enough lines as a computer to where you could probably get enough samples to make it work, even with her passed away. For a male voice, Malcolm McDowell. Alternately: Richard O’Brien or Nell Campbell Comedy Options: Harlan Ellison (reprising his role as Babylon 5’s short-lived AI, so cast because he had the most annoying voice JMS could think of) or Maggie Smith (ala Professor McGonagall: “The new paint in the foyer looks marvelous. 50 points for House Hufflepuff!”) ---

Well, while I’m thinking of it, before this thread slips into the depths for another five years, AND if I get tired of my idea of Mr. Frees as my house voice, I’m also going to suggest…singer/actress [Mary Elizabeth McGlynn](http://www.imdb.com/name/nm0569479/). 'Couldn’t find a proper demo reel, unfortunately, but probably most of the people in the robot-house-wanting demographic would have heard her work, one place or another, anyway. 😉 ---
