**Thomas Jefferson**. Both because of his raw intellect and political skills, and because he’d be able to lay to rest all this “What did the Founding Fathers _really mean_?” crap. Though I suspect his answer would be, “Shit, I don’t know – we didn’t have machine guns and abortions and the Internet back then. Figure it out for yourselves.” ---
