This happens to me all the time with Sean Bean. Before LOTR, the only thing I’d noticed him in was the Sharpe series. Now he seems to be in every other action movie regardless of when it was made.

Sean Bean was one of the IRA terrorists in Patriot Games ,that was one of his early roles.

I was flipping channels a few weeks ago, and paused for a few moments to watch the beginning of _Death Wish_. One of the punks who attacks Charles Bronson’s wife and daughter is played by Jeff Goldbloom.
Watch the movie _Krull_. You will see a whole lot of people who later became famous. Yet you rarely see the two stars anymore.
As a work of cinematic art, _Dungeons & Dragons_ is utter garbage. As a D&D campaign . . . Well, I’ve played in worse. Heck, I’ve refereed worse. But it has Dr. Who (Tom Baker) as the Grand Druid, and Riff-Raff (Richard O’Brien) as the Guildmaster Thief!

Yup.
There’s another thing about Sean Bean : his character always, _always_ dies before the end of the movie. Boromir ? Dead. The aforementionned IRA terrorist ? Dead. The Cleric in Equilibrium ? Dead 5 minutes in. Martin Septim in the game Oblivion ? Dead, dammit !

Mortensen is the weapons officer in Crimson Tide. James Gandolifini is also an officer in that movie.

My husband just turned on _Jurassic Park_, and we TOTALLY forgot that Samuel L. Jackson had anything to do with the Motherfucking Dinosaurs in that Motherfucking Park. 🙂

His character lives (but gets arrested) in _National Treasure_ - the first one. Hate to break it to you. 😉

I noticed that about a month ago and was surprised.
Last night I was watching Tombstone, and realized that the card dealer who Wyatt Earp bitchslaps and humiliates was played by a slightly chubby Billy Bob Thornton.
Or, the other day, my wife was watching “Yours, Mine and Ours”, with Henry Fonda and Lucille Ball, and we were surprised to see Tim Matheson (Otter, from Animal House) playing the oldest brother.
