Thanks, UncleBeer. It was an interesting experience, but I can understand everyone’s protectiveness of this board. I’ve been here a very short time, and I already like it (and most of the posters) enough to defend it. The person who sounded the warning bell recanted his tentative accusation, so as far as I’m concerned, it’s water under the bridge.
I appreciate the kind words, however, and I look forward to being here quite a while.

Ah. Remember when pathetic people made up usernames based on other people’s user names just to post pointless little shitballs like this in the Pit? I guess I better get my thread-deletin’ finger warmed up.
Just for the trolls who are reading this: Just because public troll outings are discouraged, doesn’t mean we’re not keeping an eye out for you twits or that we will be merciful if we see dumbass shit going on. Hell, we still encourage posters to email us when one of you snotrags pops up. Troll Hunting ain’t gonna die, it’s just being moved underground, kid. Where the innocent are spared and the guilty are flayed. By the time you hear us Troll Hunters coming, it’ll already be too late.

Oh, incidentally, I was concerned for a minute after I posted that my initial response to Satan Squared up there might be construed as an attempt at troll feeding (after all, a couple hundred people had looked at the page before me and saw fit (wisely) not to comment.)

Doesn’t the old sign-up date indicate that Satan squared is somebody who’s been around since August, to wit one of the dreaded “respected posters” ? Perhaps someone who just wanted to have Ed’s words echo throughout the forum, instead of being wasted at the end of a locked thread.
And so the “same result” would be that he/she just signs up again today or tomorrow or Saturday, and waits a few months for Ed to say something interesting again, and will reappear for a mon-posting.
