# Whole Foods Market and/or Trader Joe's?

That’s one of those relatively unknown Houston gems; there’s nothing even remotely close to it here in Dallas, excepting the larger Spec’s locations, and they’re not quite comparable.

Basic groceries from ShopRite. They have the lowest prices on staples around here and the best selection. Treats and certain specific staples like good cheese come from Trader Joe’s. Their prices are lower than ShopRite on a few items like nuts, specific cereals and snack foods. They also generally have very high quality produce.

I went into a Whole Foods once a few years ago to look for live yoghurt. I left when I saw the cherries I had purchased at ShopRite for two bucks a pound were six bucks a pound there. Very, very, very overpriced and nothing special IMO.
