Well, let’s look at some useless statistics:
Average weight of a healthy uterus (according to the Mrs.’ doc): 3 pounds
Weight of the uterus removed from my wife (according to pathologists’ report): 6 pounds
Weight my wife has lost in approx. 3 months, including surgery (according to the doc’s scales): 34 pounds
My conclusions:
- There was clearly some bad stuff in that uterus, and
- Being sick and having surgery can make you lose weight out of all proportion with what’s removed.
I don’t recommend this as a method of weight loss - but my wife is at least pleased at having lost that weight, and plans to keep it off.
Hey, I lost 12 pounds through surgery and radiation therapy myself. Maybe I should write a diet book… :rolleyes:
