I actually didn’t come to like high heeled shoes until I was in my mid-late-20s… and was comfortable enough with myself to admit I liked them, and liking them didn’t make me a “bad feminist” or whatever-the-hell. I like them because _I_ find them sexy. I like how they look on me, and I’m attracted to how they look on other women. I don’t really care what other people think, male or female. If you like 'em too, great. If not, no skin off my nose. ---

If high heels cause a woman to walk awkwardly, I find it quite unattractive. If they are able to walk normally, I still don’t find that they increase attractiveness at all. I would perfectly happy if high heels didn’t exist. ---

I like wearing my high heels (they’re 3" at least. They look good, they are not uncomfortable at all (OK except for that one really awful pair, but they sure look great so I wear them anyway), they’re great for dancing. I wear 'em because I like to. I don’t wear them a whole lot because I spend most of my life in jeans, but when I dress up the heels go on. ---

Also because when I wear high heels, it is because I think they are pretty and make my legs look pretty. While I appreciate the approbation of men and other women, most of the things I do regarding my appearance, including apparel, hair and makeup, are to please myself. ---

I like them, they are comfortable, and they are a nice change from the combat boots I wear everyday with my uniform. No one has ever called me a whore, and I find it unlikely anyone would. ---

Hell if I know. Shoes you can’t run or fight in, and that thrust my ass out for public display, make me feel waay too vulnerable to be considered for daily wear. ---

Whore heels are any heels a woman wears while being a whore, the inches don’t matter. Some women wear whore flats, whore sneakers, whore slippers ect. Women can wear whatever they find fun, that’s part of the package they get for being a woman. It doesn’t matter if other people approve or disapprove unless that’s the woman’s aim, they can just wear them because they like wearing them. If they are wearing them to attract men chances are plenty of guys will enjoy the look. ---

This poll sucks. The term whore seems to be used in a derogatory nature throughout the thread. I like xtra-tuffs myself but love seeing a woman express herself in a way that makes her happy and confidant. ---

Your pathetic attempts at justifying the term doesn’t do anything to negate the tone of your poll, which was, “do they wear them because they’re trying to impress men, or trying to impress women?”, as though there were no other reason to wear them than to impress strangers. ---

Give me a break. You phrased it like that to get attention, so don’t act so surprised that people are responding to it. I know about a hundred women and none of them use that “common language” to describe high heels, unless they are joking or something. To answer your question, I wear heels because they are sexy and I like the way I look and feel while wearing them. It doesn’t mean anything more than any other fashion choice, and certainly doesn’t imply anything about my sex life. Frankly, I feel a little :dubious: about anyone who feels the need to use terms like whore, slut, etc. It says more about you than the woman (or style) you are describing. ---

The title reflects what people refer to when they speak of these shoes, regardless of your 100 girlfriends.
